Hello:) My name is Tsz Yu Ma (known as Veron) and I am from Hong Kong. I grew up in Hong Kong but I'm from a dual-lingual family speaking Mandarin and Cantonese. So, both languages are my mother tongues.

Tutoring Experience

My Mum was a Mandarin private tutor and her successful teaching experience has motivated me to become a tutor as well. Seeing students increasing their curiosity to learn and gaining better results will certainly bring me the sense of accomplishment. I am currently teaching Mandarin 2 children beginners.

Sadly I have no teaching experience as I am a fresh graduate and still trying to enter the labour market. However, I believe that my patience and friendliness can help me become a tutor that you would like!

P.S. I had the experience of teaching my friends Mandarin and assisting my younger cousin's Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

I came from a competitive community and learning were always about examinations. I had the experience of being a tutorial student and the time doing all the exam papers had reduced my interest to learn. I wanted to have fun lessons unlike the ones in school but I had no choice. My experience has inspired me that every student suits different ways of learning, some could be about exam papers, but some could be about games. Therefore, I will always advise my prospective students to have the first lesson with me for accessing your levels and to make agreements of the best teaching methods for you based on your personalities and purposes!
