Tommaso

Hi, I have a passion for languages, a strong interest in cultures and their comparison and lastly I have been training martial arts since I was 11 years old and recently I have trained WingTsun Kungfu within the IWTA - EWTO organisation toward my qualification for 1st HG (Higher Grade). This grade means I have acquired technical knowledge and it is comparable to black belt in other martial arts.

I have not limited my training to physical training; my interest in languages and cultures led me to look beyond the mere technical training. We can adapt the East Asian martial heritage for Western needs.

Tutoring Experience

I taught as WingTsun-Assistant instructor in Italy for 3 years under the IWTA-EWTO; I continued teaching in Macclesfield (Cheshire) for about 1 year, my students achieved their 1st student grade; then I had to abandon the activity due to a teaching offer in East Asia.

I taught comparative martial arts in South Korea, at the PE College of Suwon University for 3 years and now I am back in Macclesfield still reintroducing the concepts of WingTsun Kungfu.

My passion for teaching includes Modern Foreign Languages. I can teach Italian (my mother tongue), German, Mandarin and Japanese up to intermediate level.
I started teaching in the local school in Macclesfield as One-to-One where I learned the value of planned lesson. I am currently tutoring Italian and Japanese using both method: One-to-One and skype.

Tutoring Approach

I normally have a chat with my student(s) first to agree whether the academic or fluent-speaking methods are required. One includes all the 4 skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing; the other may exclude the writing.
