Online Study Skills Tuition

I have Master's degree from the Royal College of Art with 6 years' experience teaching study skills, research, and writing in university at Bachelors and Masters level, as well as in the private sector.

I have a lot of experience teaching students with diverse learning needs and approaches. I'm currently undertaking a formal qualification in educational theory and learning differences with a view to become a qualified professional in supporting neurodivergent learners.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working in one-to-one education support for adult learners at Bachelors and Masters level for 6 years.

I have teaching experience at BA level as an Associate Lecturer with University of Northampton, Hereford College of Arts, and the University of Worcester.

I have experience of teaching many students with specific learning differences - dyslexia, dyspraxia, Asperger's syndrome, autism, ADHD - and different abilities and needs, including students whose first language is not English.

Tutoring Approach

I'm a very patient, supportive person, good at engaging with people from all over the world and with different learning needs.

As a teacher I use humour, analogous concepts, and lived examples to communicate new approaches and ways of understanding.

I have been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which means I have spent a lot of time thinking about the fundamentals of how different people might interact with ideas and information.
