I am an outgoing teacher who develops strong rapport with my students, beside subject knowledge, I believe the single most important key to success is fostering a positive relationship between teacher and student.
I have 14 years classroom experience teaching Geography and EAL in the UK, Vietnam and Taiwan. For the last 7 years I have been the Geography Lead at London's leading IB World international school and have developed a tried and tested approach for exam success - 80% of my students have achieved in the top two grade boundaries, well above the global average.
My approach focusses on a combination of firstly getting my students to enjoy what they're learning and secondly to help them simplify their approach and clarify their writing. This simplification aims at recognising the most efficient way to answer short answer questions and organise essays. We then work on consistently applying this approach to a variety of question contexts.
