Current Head of Philosophy, Theology and Ethics at one of the country's highest achieving state grammar schools in Cheltenham. Prior to this I taught at a large comprehensive academy, also locally.
I am hugely passionate about my subject and inspiring young people to develop their critical thinking skills along with their awareness of the richness of religious and spiritual diversity around the world.
I have been teaching for a number of years now, having trained in 2011. In that time I have taught a number of different GCSE and A-Level specifications.
I currently teach the AQA GCSE in Religious Studies and the AQA A-Level Philosophy course. I also have very good experience in having taught A-Level Religious Studies for many years and I am more than able and willing to tutor for any exam board or associated qualification.
My approach to tutoring is flexible and tailored to individual tutees. As a practising teacher and department head my experience in education, my subject and its exam, importantly, informs my tutoring.
I offer a range of support from weekly sessions throughout the year to intensive revision closer to exams. You may also wish to focus on key areas of study such as subject content, essay writing skills or exam preparation. I am more than happy to review completed work and offer feedback.
