Hello my name is Tim and I’m a fully qualified teacher of science. My background is chemistry but I’m happy to tutor physics, chemistry and biology up to GCSE level.
I'm available Monday to Friday.
Tutoring Experience
Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a learning support assistant at a school in Reading, which has given me a lot of experience in helping students with special education needs to access the curriculum in maths and science in particular.
Tutoring Approach
I tailor my tutoring to the individual. For GCSE I make extensive use of exam questions, in conjunction with mark schemes and examiner comments to help students to polish their answers. I also think it is important to instill science investigation skills and to make connections with real-life applications.
