I offer chemistry and biology tuition on line as Im semi and volunteer for citizens advice and swim and cycle in my spare time currently I’m only accepting year 10 and 12 students

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience of all the exam boards for a level chemistry gcse chemistry biology physics and combined science
I was head of chemistry in a 14 to 19 college for 20 years and then moved into senior management for 13 years. For the last nine years I have been teaching students individually with a wide range of abilities and motivation. A number of parents have commended me for my patience and support for students who have difficulty motivating themselves. Through out my teaching career I have held the positions of examiner, moderator and team leader. I was also chief examiner of Leicestershire sciences which involved writing gcse exams. Currently I’m on the board of examiners for ocr and Cambridge international exams marking chemistry papers. I have been teaching online since March 2020.

Tutoring Approach

Working relationships are built through trust and mutual respect this requires patience in identifying learning needs and developing an agreed strategy to move forward. Parents have commented on my excellent approach a number of my students have continued with me into a level studies. I am flexible and adaptable but most importantly approachable.
