I am currently a secondary school History, Politics and Sociology teacher in my fourth year of teaching, having completed a BA History/Politics and a PGCE in History at the University of York. I am keen to support students in consolidating subject content and applying this to exam-style questions.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level classes across a range of subjects, adapting my lessons and teaching styles to suit the needs of different learners. I have experience with a range of exam boards and topics.

Tutoring Approach

I encourage the pupil to be an active participant in their own learning. I have a calm, patient approach while working with the pupil to set high (but achievable) expectations. Pupils shouldn't feel afraid to ask questions or seek clarification, and I work with the pupil to create a learning environment which is safe and reassuring.
