Hi, I'm Tom!

I am a qualified teacher with 6 years experience in teaching across Primary and KS3 in both mainstream and SEN settings. I have a lifelong passion for Drama and comedy, and have been performing in London's comedy scene for over 10 years. I hold a First Class Honours Master's Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Kent.

I love to share that passion and enthusiasm with students to help them to unlock their creativity, humour and confidence. While developing performance skills, students will also develop their general communication skills which has a positive impact on the rest of their education and their everyday life.

Tutoring Experience

I have spent the past 5 years working as a specialist SEN teacher in an outstanding central London independent school, working with pupils with speech, language and communication needs from ages 6-14. Throughout my time in teaching, I have seen the transformative power Drama has to empower young people with confidence and boost their communication skills while taking pleasure in performance. I have recently begun private Drama tuition with students in London, including those with additional needs.

Tutoring Approach

I help students, including those with additional needs, prepare to access LAMDA examinations appropriate to their ability. I support families to identify achievable awards and can guide the process of registration.

My sessions are bespoke, needs-led and most importantly FUN! Sessions are most effective face-to-face and I am happy to travel within London to your home or other appropriate venue. Online sessions are also available. Either way, I am highly flexible and able to adapt my tuition to meet the needs of the student and provide them with the most enjoyable, fulfilling experience of Drama possible in a 1:1 context.

Above all, my sessions are designed to be fun and accessible, so that all learners can enjoy the feeling of being successful and building their performance skills.
