Hello! I have just finished my first year studying Physics At Durham University. As a passionate and dedicated educator with over a year of experience tutoring pupils at GCSE level, I am confident in my ability to help learners to achieve their goals; whatever they may be.
I have been a tutor to 6 GCSE students for over a year now and have been successfully balancing this with my academic pursuits as well as extra curricular interests. Over this year I have developed strong communication skills allowing me to proficiently work with my students to support their progression. As previously mentioned I also have an impeccable academic track record with 11 grade 9 s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-level, as well as achieving a high first in my first year of Studying physics at university while also being awarded the Level 1 Durham Physics Award for Outstanding Achievement in academic year 2024/25. This demonstrates my understanding of how best to acheive success in exams.
Having worked as a tutor for over a year and across many subjects, I have developed a personalized and highly engaging style of tutoring. I can teach online or in person lessons in Math, Physics, Chemistry and French at GCSE and A-level. In lessons I typically help students work towards their exams but can also push students beyond their specification or help them with any issues in class or homework. My approach is to provide the students with the content in a succinct manner, then go through my tailored and specific examples with them, highlighting any tricks as we go along. While doing examples I force students to go to their very limits by only giving them help when they have done as much as they can and when giving them help only providing a tip on where to go next rather than a solution; this way as students work through challenging examples largely on their own building confidence and strong problem solving techniques. For every lesson I provide my owns resources tailored to your specific needs and desires as a student. Lessons would be typically 45 minutes to 1 hour.
