Thay has been tutoring my daughter (Year 8) since the start of this academic year. He is incredibly patient, which has been so helpful for my daughter, as she often struggles to grasp mathematical concepts. I found Thayaparan through First Tutors while searching for a math tutor for my son, who is currently in Year 12, Sixth Form. I specifically looked for a tutor with experience teaching students of a similar age group and educational background, and Thay's experience as a math teacher at a grammar school matched that perfectly.

Since beginning lessons with Thay, my son has made significant improvements in his understanding of the subject. Thay's teaching approach is thorough, clear, and well-structured, which has helped my son to build both his confidence and problem-solving skills. My son is sitting A level Maths in a year. Thay is teaching him only stats and mechanics as my son already has a tutor for pure mathematics.
I wish we had engaged Thay's services earlier as we are having to go through stats and mechanics at lightning pace, however Thay has embraced the challenge and we are getting there.
My son finds Thay very approachable and friendly and explains things well. He is punctual and reliable and prepares well for the lessons.
Additionally he sets homework/papers.
I have no hesitation in recommending him as a tutor.

I can't recommend Thayaparan highly enough. He has made a huge difference to my year 9 son's knowlege, understanding and enjoyment of Maths. My son really looks forward to weekly tuition and the boost to his confidence in maths class at school is amazing. After only a few months of tuition he did so well in a class test (over 80%) we are trying to get him moved up a set. My son is also talking about wanting to do Maths at A'level. Thay Sir is extremely dedicated and very experienced Maths teacher. He explains things clearly, and encourages his students to make progress. Homework is provided in line with class work and cover topics ahead of time. He is professional, patient , encouraging and very supportive, and communicates clearly. He always keeps parents up to date with the current progress. This is one of the best decision we have ever taken and confident our child is going to achieve the top notch grade. Thank you.

Thay is a very good tutor as he uses multiple resources for his lessons and will always make sure that the student understands the concept being taught before going through various questions of different difficulties. Thay is an excellent maths tutor! His teaching methods are great, clear and concise. In fact, his manner of teaching is so wonderful and refreshing that my son looks forward to the next lesson! He’s patient and supportive and really knows how to motivate my son who can be lazy at times. He helped him understand new material before it was taught at school which really built my son’s confidence. Thay also prepared him for the 11+ Exams this year and my son got into his top schools. He is very punctual, always comes ready with his materials and extra homework and a great sense of humour! Thay is an excellent tutor. He adapts to the individual needs and prepare the materials for every lesson and also marks them as well. He first tutored my son to polish his skills for GCSE and now he is tutoring my daughter for her GCSE . I would highly recommend him as he is very patient and understanding with the pupils.

My daughter only had few lessons with Thai but it has improved her attitude towards maths as he explains well.Thai is an easy to approach type person which helps my daughters confidence.Since he is currently teaching in a school, it helps with the requirements of the exam board also.I am happy to to recommend Thai .

We left setting up tuition for my son with respect to his forthcoming GCSE exams a little late in the day however Thayaparan’s teaching approach has significantly addressed our concerns. Thayaparan is an energetic and driven teacher. Within weeks he has given my son significant confidence with his maths ability. Thayaparan is able to communicate mathematical concepts succinctly and clearly within a short space of time – topics that my son was struggling to understand within a school setting have now been understood – as well as being a good teacher he also has a good understanding of the current curriculum and syllabus. Thay tuitioned my nephew on A level maths. Thay has a very effective teaching strategy which helped my nephew grasp some difficult maths concepts. Thay clearly explained topics amd tested my nephew regularly to ensure concepts were being understood. My nephew is very happy with the tuition. I would recommend.
