As well as teaching, I have also worked in a number of industries (publicity, research, web development, etc).

I have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS.

In addition to a teaching qualification I have a Grad.Dip. in Information Management and a similar qualification in Professional Writing.

My two children were home educated. My daughter is now on a PhD scholarship at Ann Arbor University (Michigan, USA) and my son has a degree in Art and is working in IT in Melbourne. While in Australia I helped set up and run a parent-run free school.

Tutoring Experience

I have previously taught at Secondary (English, Art, supply, etc), FE (Professional Writing, IT) and Higher (Information literacy) levels.

Tutoring Approach

I adapt my teaching style to the needs of the student (age, ability, contexts). The emphasis is entirely student-centred. I aim to make each session exiting, using a variety of media as appropriate
