Hola! My name is Tania and I am a native Spanish teacher working a a self-employed private tutor.

I offer tailored in-person and online Spanish lessons for all age groups and backgrounds.

Tutoring Experience

Throughout my 10 years of teaching, I have created a number of structured learning programmes.

Upon meeting a student I then modify and adapt these based on their needs / requirements, to ensure a bespoke and fit for purpose learning experience.

Primary School and Early Years

I have a degree in 'Primary School Teaching' from 'Jaume I' in Spain, studied from 2006 - 2010. I also hold Qualified Teacher Status.

I've got experience working at a Primary School level teaching groups in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3.

Secondary education - GCSE and A-level

I have 4 years experience working as a Teacher of Spanish in a Secondary School teaching Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. I am familiar with three exam boards for GCSE, AQA, Edexcel and IGCSE. Previous students have been able to achieve success in terms of improved school grades and excellent GCSE and A Level results.

Extracurricular and Adult Learning

I have over 7 years experience tutoring senior students, having even taught students in their 70s in the past! I have also worked in an Adult Education College in South London teaching groups of 15 students at beginner and advanced level.

As English is my second language, I understand the weaknesses and difficulties faced by a language student. Hence, I know how to successfully utilize and teach language tips and tricks and memory techniques and addition to traditional forms of learning.

Tutoring Approach

I would describe myself as a professional educator who knows how to engage children and young adults in their learning process and reach their highest potential.

My approach to teaching is supplemented by a robust bank of educational supporting resources, interactive materials and engaging techniques.

I am enthusiastic, energetic and cheerful, when working with children (and also with adults) as I know how to balance being strict and entertaining throughout lesson time.
