Over the past few years, I have successfully tutored a number of children with different needs through enjoyable and focused lessons. Students may want to work towards passing their 11+ or accelerating their progress ready for Year 6 SATs - I am ready to help in whatever your child needs.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified and fully DBS checked Primary teacher in Year 6 with over 10 years experience in teaching KS1 and KS2 pupils. Additionally, I have tutored students into successfully passing their 11+ entrance exams.
As a marker for SATs papers, I am also able to give relevant guidance on how to reach Expected standard or indeed 'Exceed Expectations' at the end of Year 6.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in following a child-centred approach in all my lessons, guiding your child towards what they need to learn whilst also getting their input on areas they find difficult. I found this makes them far more motivated to achieve.
I will provide helpful homework to consolidate and extend their learning in preparation for the following sessions. This will sometimes be in the form of hard copy work as well as work that I will require them to complete online (if internet access is available). Parental involvement is also key and I will provide regular feedback on what progress and areas of development that I see through working with your child. Due to the pandemic, lessons take place online.
