Steve is absolutely brilliant! Our 10 year old Son has really struggled with school for the last couple of years or so. His anxiety and refusing to go to school has resulted in huge gaps in his learning and he has no confidence in his own abilities. Steve’s 1-1 support each week is invaluable. He is very patient and kind and he makes learning maths fun! We hope to continue for as long as our boy needs him. If only all teachers were like Steve!

We contacted Steve after our thirteen year old had been struggling with Maths and had moved down a set. We had been trying to help her but we don’t know the methods now and she found it frustrating. Steve has been absolutely amazing! He worked out what our daughter had missed and how to help her and her confidence is back. She really enjoys the sessions and her whole attitude to learning has improved.

Our three children had the pleasure of receiving tuition from Steve in September and October, with particular emphasis on Maths, while they were being home-schooled ahead of a major relocation overseas. Following an initial consultation, Steve prepared tailored learning materials and, in the tutor sessions that followed, pitched the lessons in a way that really catered well to their very different needs and learning approaches. We in turn, as parents, received extremely helpful verbal and written feedback on our children's progress, with clear explanations about the topics which they i) have mastered, ii) have gained an understanding of, and iii) still need to work on. Steve has an excellent method of challenging his pupils at precisely the right level, so that their confidence grows, as does an eagerness to continue learning. We are really grateful for Steve's support and for being able to accommodate our needs at short notice.
