I have been teaching for 5 years in a school in East Sussex. I genuinely love teaching and am constantly amazed at what students are capable of. I love geography with a passion and aim for students to leave each of my lessons keen to learn more about this wonderful subject. I have travelled extensively and have spent a significant amount of time in developing, developed and emerging countries and therefore feel that this helps me provide real meaning when I teach the geography of such countries.
I am the Key Stage 3 Leader for Geography in the school that I teach. I have been teaching Edexcel GCSE for five years.
I believe in academic rigour and I have high expectations of all of the pupils that I teach. I believe in testing and assessment as the best methods of finding gaps in pupil understanding. The results of these assessments can then be used as a platform to tailor tutoring to individual student needs.
