I am qualified and highly experienced English language teacher, having spent 12 years teaching English in the UK and Italy. After many years abroad, I have now returned to Cambridge where I help teachers prepare their students to take English language exams.
I have extensive experience teaching both adults and young learners of various nationalities. After more than 10 years as Academic Manager of a language school, I have developed skills in teaching students of all levels, both individually and as groups. I am also an experienced teacher trainer and possess the ability to transmit my passion for teaching and learning to teachers and students alike. I have prepared students successfully for various exams, including FCE, CAE and IELTS.

As both a learner and teacher of languages, I know from experience that the best (if not only!) way to truly learn a language is by using it. I therefore make my tutoring sessions as communicative and interactive as possible. I believe learning needs to be fun to be motivational so where appropriate, I integrate a wide variety of activities to keep interest high.
I have a distinct ability to identify weak areas and work on those to improve performance, which is particularly useful for students needing to focus on grammar or exam preparation.
