Hi! I have a degree from the University of St Andrews in English Literature and French. I currently work in France as an English language assistant so I have experience helping others learn a new language. For English, I have extensive knowledge and tutoring experience. I can help you in particular with essay writing, including your portfolio. I will also prepare you for your exams ensuring you are confident in literary analysis and close reading. To kickstart our journey together, I am offering the first lesson at half the regular price. My schedule is flexible, with availability on weekends, as well as Monday or Wednesday nights. Tutoring Experience

I am currently an English language assistant in France which means I have experience teaching a foreign language and working with high school students. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and National 5 English literature and language. I am very familiar with both syllabuses.Throughout my academic journey, I consistently excelled in my studies, with all of my essays receiving first class awards and many receiving full marks. My specialization lies in the realms of Modernist and American literature. I have in depth knowledge of the literary techniques that define and distinguish these genres.

Tutoring Approach

I teach my classes online only. I can organise lessons to work on the specific area you would like. If you need general help we can just work through the syllabus together, covering past papers and essay writing. For French I will help familiarise you with the language and we can also have written lessons if you would like. I have an enhanced DBS check available on request.
