Hi! I have a degree from the University of St Andrews in English Literature and French. For English, I have extensive knowledge and tutoring experience. I can help you in particular with essay writing, including your portfolio. I will also prepare you for your exams ensuring you are confident in literary analysis and close reading. My schedule is flexible, with availability on weekends, as well as evenings. I look forward to the opportunity to enhance your language and literary skills!

Tutoring Experience

I worked as an English language assistant in France which means I have experience teaching a foreign language and working with high school students. I also have over a years worth of experience tutoring GCSE and National 5 English literature and language. I am very familiar with both syllabuses.Throughout my academic journey, I consistently excelled in my studies, with all of my essays receiving first class awards and many receiving full marks. My specialization lies in the realms of Modernist and American literature. I have in depth knowledge of the literary techniques that define and distinguish these genres.

Tutoring Approach

I teach my classes online only. I can organise lessons to work on the specific area you would like. If you need general help we can just work through the syllabus together, covering past papers and essay writing. I have an enhanced DBS check available on request.
