Stan

Hi, I'm Stan I'm 36 and I have been teaching in London for over 10 years. I am originally from Bath in Somerset but have lived in London for my adult life, starting a career as an actor before finding my passion for educating. In my spare time I compete in triathlons, marathons or spend time walking my dog. I am an Assistant Head teacher in a school in Blackheath and tutor children to catch up with missed learning and also preparation for SATs and the !!+. I work in the local area of South Norwood, Dulwich, Crystal Palace and close-by surrounding areas.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for 10 years across London and have spent the last 7 years teaching Year 6 preparing them for SATs and the 11+.
I am now an Assistant Head Teacher at an all through school in London.
I have specialised in maths computing and PE and the whole primary curriculum.

Tutoring Approach

I will first assess the needs of the student, setting out clear aims and targets to be met over a period of time. Secondly, set up a timetable with specific areas to cover. My approach is for the student to understand the deeper contexts of what they are struggling with to therefore equip themselves to work independently moving forward. I aim to give the skills so that students can progress to their potential.
