I am a 47 year old Mother of two. I worked in Primary education in Key stage 2 for 7 years before starting my own home business in 2018 in order to spend more time with my children. They are now fully independent, therefore I would like to use my teaching knowledge and experience to help others.

Tutoring Experience

I worked in year 6 of Primary school for over 7 years. In addition to this I gave private tutoring sessions for over 2 years. I was also employed as an intervention teacher for children who were 'struggling' in Key Stage 2, during my teaching career.

I am happy to Maths and English to any age group but obviously am better qualified for KS1 and KS2 level.

Tutoring Approach

I have always loved assisting and observing children when they reach that 'lightbulb moment'. I have a friendly manner and am very patient with all of those I have the pleasure to teach.
I endeavour to use a variety of techniques and resources to make my lessons fun and accessible to all as I appreciate that learning needs to be far from boring and repetitive for my students to absorb the knowledge I hope to give them.
