Hello! I recently completed my PhD in Quantum Physics, jointly between the University of Bristol and Heriot-Watt University. My research involved advanced mathematical problem-solving and analytical skills. I also have a first class Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.

Tutoring Experience

I have over six years teaching experience, ranging from tutoring GCSE students to supervising final-year undergraduate physics projects. My experience includes delivering engaging lessons to A-level students in a summer school and teaching younger learners (aged 9 to 10) through outreach programmes. I am an engaging, motivating and also patient teacher.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in creating a personalised and supportive learning environment by adapting to each students learning style and needs. A typical tutorial with me will start with a chat about previous topics or homework, going over any tough questions, followed by introducing new material. We will also go through past papers and exam style questions together. I use a mix of explanation, worked examples, and hands-on practice, ensuring time for questions and clarification.

I know the GCSE Maths syllabus inside out and use this knowledge to help students get to grips with the content as a whole. At A-level, I understand how huge the step up from GCSE to A-level can feel and will help students improve their revision techniques, go through complex content in depth and do past papers together.

Beyond that, I am also always open to tutoring advanced topics in mathematics. For example, topics such as quantum information, linear algebra and differential calculus.
