Sophie

Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a primary school teacher. I completed my PGCE with an Early Years Specialism and have a passion for Early Years and Key Stage 1 education. I have been teaching for 5 years within Key Stage 1 and Early Years and am looking to start tutoring children within this age range or key stage who need some extra support.

Tutoring Experience

I have 5 years teaching experience across key stage 1 and early years. This involves working with large and small groups of children and on a 1:1 basis, depending on their needs. I have worked with children of all abilities across this age range and can adapt my teaching style to suit the individual learner.

I can offer 1:1 or group tutoring sessions depending on the needs of your child/children.

Tutoring Approach

I believe learning should be as fun and interactive as possible as this helps young children to remember and embed what they have learnt. I think it is important to be adaptable to cater for the needs of your specific child and interest them in a way that is unique to them.

I can offer key stage 1, lower key stage 2 and early years tutoring in maths, English, writing, reading, phonics and SPaG. I can also offer help with fine and gross motor activities to aid pre-writing development.

My aim is to provide fun, interesting tutor sessions to build on your child's current knowledge and consolidate their learning.
