I am a fully qualified GCSE English and Functional Skills teacher at an FE college. Along side this I am also the Deputy Department Manager for English. I work with both 16-19 year olds and also adults.
I have worked at my institution for over 10 years. Before I did my PGCE I worked as ALS in both maths and English classrooms and delivered 1-1 study sessions. I have worked in my current position for three years now and this involves a mix of class teaching and 1-1 sessions.
I am passionate about my subject, and because of this I have an enthusiastic approach that I hope will enthuse my learners with my love of English.
