Snezhana

I am a working professional with over 10 years of successful background in Mathematics. I am a holder of numerous medals and awards from national and international (individual and team) Mathematical competitions in Bulgaria (2002-2012), Hong Kong (2007&2008), South Africa (2009), USA (2012).

Meanwhile I am a kitchen and interiors designer. I enjoy getting to know new cultures and traditions and am passionate about eye-opening opportunities such as Traveling, Reading, Latin dancing, Yoga and Cooking with new ingredients and cuisines. I have a keen interest in Psychology and have recently used my time for self development, by completing an introductory course from Yale University.

Tutoring Experience

I have two years experience as Assistant Teacher in Mathematics. I had the opportunity to work with middle and high school students.
I was responsible for teaching and explaining new material as well as identifying student's problems and responding to their questions.

With First Tutors, I have taught students in Lower key stage 2 (Primary). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and loved seeing how our meetings are helping the students progress. There's a level of personal satisfaction with knowing you are helping others. What's more, I enjoyed establishing a personal connection with the students.

Tutoring Approach

I have a very patient and understanding approach to tutoring and would be eager to work on a problem for as much time as needed to solve it. I would use a new and personal approach for every tutee, depending on their needs and preferences.
I have always had a strong creative side (currently being a designer) which allows me to easily engage children's mind with more visual based tasks and explanation techniques.
