Smita

Hi my name is Smita and I have been teaching maths, English, science and ICT for 14 years.

I am a qualified teacher and I have a Masters in Education Practice.

Tutoring Experience

I currently work as a teacher, teaching people with learning needs maths, English, science and ICT. I teach both GCSE and functional skills.

I have tutored 1 to 1 for 14 years, very successfully. I have tutored a wide range of ages, from 6 years old to adults.

Before this role I worked at a large Leicester college teaching maths and English to the hardest to reach disengaged youth in the community.

Tutoring Approach

I specialise in learning needs and teaching to people who may not want to fully engage. I create individualised learning plans, so each lesson is unique to each student’s learning needs.

I teach functional skills to young people and adults using a variety of methods to keep learners engaged and to cater to their learning needs.
