I love the idea of helping students through their journey towards their goals. I have experience tutoring for different curriculums such as Edexcel, OCR, AQA, Salters Nuffield A&B, WJEC and many more. I, myself was the first cohort to sit the new 9-1 GCSEs so I am well versed with the layout and content of the papers. I also did a lot of online tutoring during Covid which allowed me to develop methods to keep student engagement high. I also have extensive experience tutoring children with learning difficulties and special needs and am confident that I can help them achieve to the best of their abilities!

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for the last 7 years in a number of school subjects including English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business Studies, Economics, 11+ and UCAT. I have taught children from the ages of 5-18 so have plenty of knowledge on how to engage students and make the tutoring sessions engaging and exciting for them.

Tutoring Approach

I always ensure to create an individualised plan for each student after our initial conversation and grasping the kind of learner they are by understanding what teaching style works for them in school. I also try and present as many resources as possible so that students have a range of materials to utilise in their studies and revision. Additionally, attempting to grasp what topics and areas they struggled with in school allows me to focus more on understanding and then consolidating their learning so that they are more confident in a school setting and within their wider education.
