As a patient, dedicated and award-winning tutor, I strive to ensure that my students fully comprehend the material. I recognise that each student may have a unique level of understanding and am equipped to adjust my teaching approach to meet their needs. My goal is to guide students to a successful understanding of the subject matter, no matter where they start.
With a Ph.D. in Quantum Optics and Laser Science from Imperial College and a BSc in Physics with a 1st class honors from the University of St. Andrews, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. My passion for Physics and Maths runs deep and I possess a thorough understanding of the fundamental concepts in these subjects.
With years of experience tutoring A-Level students and university students in Maths and Physics at the University of St. Andrews, I have a proven track record of helping students reach their goals. My commitment to student success is evident in the results of my students, with the latest cohort achieving outstanding grades, including four students earning A's and two students receiving B's.
Additionally, during my Ph.D. studies, I served as the head teaching assistant and was awarded the Faculty of Natural Sciences Award for Support of Excellence in Teaching. This recognition highlights my dedication to education and ability to effectively support students in their learning journey.
I believe mastering Physics and Maths requires a grasp of both concepts and applications. I collaborate with students to clarify underlying ideas and equip them with problem-solving skills. I prioritize complete comprehension and am patient in finding the best approach for each individual student. In my tutoring sessions, I emphasize understanding over memorization and encourage students to speak up when they need clarification.
