Home Tuition for Chemistry and Biology in Southam

I am a professional senior manufacturing engineer working for a advanced wound care company, previously to this role I was a senior scientist developing new nano technology wound care products. During my professional career I have given many seminars internally and externally on the science behind what we do and the positive impact this has for the patient. During my PhD I worked with the student services department at the university of Sheffield to tutor students with addition needs. Additionally i ran lab sessions for chemistry and microbiology undergraduates, providing support during practical and marking the scripts each week. I also had the pleasure of tutoring various admin staff members children through their chemistry, biology and GCSE exams.
Personally I am a very approachable friendly person, a firm believer of there are no such things as silly questions, only unanswered ones. I am passionate about science and how science can help us understand the world around us and enjoy sharing this knowledge.

Tutoring Experience

Internal and external professional seminars on wound care devices, the science behind and the biological implications with consideration to the patients well being.
Four years running practical lab sessions and script grading of chemistry and microbiology undergraduates.
Two years of tutoring GCSE chemistry, biology and physics.

Tutoring Approach

I think that the best approach with all things science is to combine teaching principles with practical real world examples, this engages and reinforces the lessons being taught.
Working through examples which will help develop understanding of the principles is also vital to ensure the knowledge is held.
