My name is Sid, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share more about myself and my passion for teaching. With a solid background in education and a genuine enthusiasm for guiding students towards academic success, I believe I can bring significant value to your esteemed company as a tutor. I myself wanted one on one tutoring, and I know how much of a positive impact it can have compared to a teacher teaching 20 students. I achieved eight grade 9s at GCSE and two A*s, with a A* distinction in further maths. In my A-levels, I achieved A* Maths A* Biology A Latin A Chemistry

Tutoring Experience

I have been an online tutor (self-employed as well as with a different company) for three years now. My experience includes tutoring both one-on-one sessions and group settings, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each student effectively. I have also tutored in person for a private schooling academy, and so I am comfortable in all settings.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach centers on creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to explore concepts and take charge of their learning journey. I prioritise clear communication to address their goals and challenges, while integrating various methods like visual aids and real-life examples to enhance comprehension. Additionally, I focus on nurturing critical thinking and a growth mindset, fostering confidence and a passion for learning that extends beyond academics. I use methods such as active recall and spaced repetition to ensure that the content is ingrained in my student's long term memory. I also place a lot of emphasis on past paper questions and exam technique, as these are vital to secure the highest grades.
