I have 20 years experience as a Science Teacher and believe that the best results are achieved through strong knowledge, and an approach to learning that values positive relationships and mutual respect.
My experiences are founded on my love of Science teaching and have gone on to include Head of Chemistry. I am now moving away from full-time teaching and looking forward to offering support as a private tutor.
I have enjoyed teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level. I am also successful and experienced in teaching GCSE Physics and Biology. I am used to analysing curricula and creating schemes of work to match the needs of the pupils.
I have extensive experience working with Special Educational Needs. My resources are designed to be are Dyslexic friendly.
As your tutor, I would work with you to understand your gaps in knowledge and ensure the key foundations are there to help you feel confident in solving challenging problems. It is key that you have the confidence to be open and ask questions - it is then that the best learning happens.
If you think you would like to work with me, I would welcome a video chat. This will give us the chance to share expectations and for you to ask any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
