I have an extensive knowledge and experience of primary and secondary maths curriculum. I have taught maths to students at KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 and have had excellent record of students achievements at examination levels.

I am a very calm, friendly and approachable person.

I use different and varied strategies to teach maths depending on the ability of individuals and feel this is important to achieve the full potential.

I took early retirement after teaching maths for more than 30 years at all Key Stages and GCSE.

I am able to provide maths tutoring online.

I am also able to provide maths tutoring for adults.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 40 years experience of teaching maths at KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 GCSE and have taught children from a range of backgrounds and ability including gifted and special needs. I am currently tutoring at all levels including preparing students for new curriculum.
I have been head of maths and senior advisor for raising achievement in maths.

have worked with adults to prepare for GCSE maths as well as QTS and Functional Skills maths.
I have worked with young students and adults to prepare for the QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) online numeracy tests.

Tutoring Approach

I am truly passionate about Maths. I use varied styles of teaching to boost self-esteem and confidence. I feel this is essential to maximize the understanding and achievement.

When approaching tutoring, I take informal and relaxed approach. I identify the weak areas that need to be worked on and then approach tutoring using the most suitable for the student.

I am also able to provide group tutoring at a reduced rate.
