I am a native Cantonese speaker from Hong Kong, with an educational background spanning both Hong Kong and the United States. I am fluent in Cantonese and English, and for the past five years, I have been living in the UK, using both languages every day in reading, writing, and conversation. Tutoring Experience

For the past four years, I’ve been teaching Cantonese to young learners aged 4 to 10 at a local Chinese school every weekend, building solid foundations and confidence in their language skills. Beyond the classroom, I’ve also taught and prepared my two sons and their friends for the GCSE Chinese examination—all of whom proudly achieved Grade 9 results. In addition to group teaching, I am providing private conversational sessions for primary school students looking to improve their fluency and deepen their connection with the Chinese language in a more personalized and fun way.

I place strong emphasis on engaging students, monitoring their progress, and providing supportive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. What matters most to me isn’t how much content I deliver, but how much each student takes away and can confidently use. I always take time to reinforce what’s been taught and help students build a solid, practical understanding of the language.
