Hi! I’m Sheeru and I’m an MMath graduate, who is passionate about teaching, education and helping others. Academically, I have achieved A* and 2 A’s at A-level in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry, respectively, and I have achieved a First Class Honours in my MMath degree. Having transitioned from A-Levels into a Mathematics degree, I understand the challenge that comes with when embracing the major cornerstone in learning. Alongside this, I have developed my interpersonal and research skills through various projects, I have been part of and have collaborated with a diverse range of cross-sectional learners. I truly believe that anyone can achieve the grades that they want to, with the right approach and work ethic!

Tutoring Experience

I have experience in both working with and tutoring children - I have very much enjoyed working with Year 6 students from a diverse range of primary schools in preparing them for their Level 6 SATs exams. Also, I have taught Maths KS3, GCSE and A-Level students as a assistant teacher at my college. I am a patient and enthusiastic individual who will help prospective students to improve in their learning and to do better in their exam performance.

Tutoring Approach

I will work with the student to work on their individual goals. This can be in the form of exam technique, in which I would go through exam questions with the student and assess whether it is understanding the question or knowledge gap. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have in the first 15 minutes of the session. Then, I will explain concepts of the topic to the student using visual methods and mnemonics and complete exam questions in the next 45 minutes.
