Tutoring Experience

Prior experience tutoring students in GCSE biology and maths, helping them achieve grade 8-9s.

Tutoring Approach

Sessions involve teaching and explaining topics to students in an easy to understand manner and ensuring they are able to ask any questions they have. After, I go through exam questions with the student and then once confident with the concept, take a hands off approach and offer prompting when needed. This allows me to identify and strengthen any weak points which may be present. Depending on the long term lesson plans of the student we can also spend a short amount of time at the start or end of a session covering topics we have previously gone over as a quick refresher to consolidate knowledge and build retention.
