As a specialist teacher of Academic PE, I am eager to pass on the knowledge, experience and skills gained in my career to date to the next generation and help students on their journey when studying for GCSE or A Level Physical Education.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently in my 5th year teaching. I have taught at two high-achieving state schools in my career to date where expectations are high and students have high aspirations for themselves.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in supporting students to achieve their full potential. In order to do this students must work on developing their knowledge, application (including use of examples) and analysis (including the ability to evaluate) on the GCSE and A Level PE courses. Having the ability to use cognitive recall is fundamental to being successful when looking to achieve in any academic subject. I can also assist students who are looking to improve their ability to revise. Lastly, I place a heavy emphasis on exam technique. While it is crucial to develop study methods (revision, independent study etc), having the ability to look at a question and know how to answer it optimally will allow success in exams. Again, this is very transferable across subjects.
