Personal Description:

Educated at the Universities of Oxford and St Andrews, Sean has a decade's worth of tutoring experience. He currently teaches a Creative Writing workshop at St Andrews, where he is completing his MFA in Poetry Writing. His first degree was in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Before moving to Scotland to pursue poetry, he was a consultant for the British Civil Service. He is also in an improvised comedy troupe, called Where's My Honey.

Tutoring Experience:

As well as leading workshops at St. Andrews, I have a decade of experience tutoring privately in English, creative writing, philosophy, maths, politics, economics and public speaking.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to focus on tasks, and discussion of those. So essay planning, or problem sets, with preliminary reading. And any difficulties are discussed and worked through together.
