I am an Oxford graduate with over 300 hours of online tuition experience. I work jointly at a top UK university as a PhD researcher and in the NHS as a trainee clinical psychologist.
My own journey into education and science was not an easy one! I find that my friendly, honest and approachable personality makes it easy to build rapport with a range of students from all backgrounds and of all abilities.
I have supported students in gaining admission to Sixth form, undergraduate and postgraduate study including Oxford interview preparation. I also support students with subjects such as A-Level Psychology, Geography, and Biology. I have experience running summer school workshops and community programmes encouraging students to apply to university and explore their options post A-Levels. Such knowledge and understanding of the higher education system is an important prerequisite as an Oxbridge and university tutor.
As both a trained therapist and researcher, my approach to tutoring is goals-based and person-centred, as pathways to understanding can be different for each student. I have a wealth of experience tutoring online to students from all levels and abilities. I ensure to use creative methods to help students engage and make sessions interactive.
Overall, through a mixture of engaging in-session exercises and set self-directed learning, I am able to support students to find joy in subjects they may initially find difficult.
