I'm a professional and friendly tutor with a doctorate in French from the University of St Andrews. I also have a Master's degree in cultural studies, a BA Honours in French, and a BA with distinction in English, French and Drama. In addition, I've lived in two French-speaking countries (France and Mauritius).
I have tutored first-year students at the University of St Andrews since 2012 and, during that time, received positive feedback from my students. Since moving to Leamington I've been providing tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions for French and English to university students and adults.
I have a positive and open approach to tutoring, working flexibly with the needs of each individual. I pay attention to what the student hopes to gain from the sessions, and am quick at picking up on recurring problems which I seek to solve at the source. I am a firm believer in working with each student to re-evaluate progress at each session, and to praise progress. I also pay attention to writing style and, where appropriate, structural components of a written argument.
I work on-line via Skype.
