I'm a qualified Teacher with 30 years experience with a wide, varied teaching background. My work in the last 5 years has focused on individual and group tutoring both in schools and privately. I have also been a National Tutor in the areas of English and Maths helping children to catch up on vital skills. I have also taught older children English as a Second Language.

Tutoring Experience

I am a highly experienced Qualified Primary School teacher and Private Tutor, who has had a wide experience teaching young children, teenagers and small groups of adults. I started off teaching children in inner city London and have diversified my career by teaching English as a Foreign Language and most recently Primary Maths for the National Tutoring Programme, set up by the government to help children who struggled academically during the Covid Pandemic.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is one of reaching the child at the level they present themselves with at the time of assessment and moving them forwards so they can reach their full potential. I have helped children achieve access to their preferred school due to entrance exams and guided and helped several children through their Year 6 Maths and English SATs exams. My preference is to teach face-to-face but I can teach online if necessary.
