I am currently a History student at the University of Oxford, studying periods ranging from the Middle Ages, to what is classed as Modern History. I thoroughly enjoy my subject and the variety that comes with it means I am able to learn about a wide area of history.
As a current university student reading history, I believe I have a strong understanding of varying aspects of the subject which I can translate to potential tutees, as well as the skills of composing a well-rounded essay.
Furthermore, I have studied French since a young age, having completed it up to A-levels, thus having advanced knowledge of the language in all its aspects, as well as of what is required at different stages of studying it at school.
Understanding what the weak and strong points of a tutee are, is crucial to formulating the structure of my approach. This will dictate what we should focus on primarily, and what should be prioritized to make sure they gain a proper understanding overall.
While simply offering the right answer would be easy, my aim is to ensure that the tutees are actively learning and engaging, the final goal is to equip them with useful skills to compose the answers on their own eventually.
