Are you looking for a young, enthusiastic tutor to help you? Are you after someone that is keen about their subject matter, and eager to share it with others?
Hi, I'm Sam, and I got my degree in Mathematics in 2013. I've gone on to work in the IT industry, which has given me opportunity to use my mathematical skills, along with further study that I am pursuing in my own time.
I have had recent teaching experience in a local school as a Student Associate; where I helped assisted teachers with teaching classes, ran some one-to-one study sessions, provided further classes for gifted students. I was even given the opportunity to teach some A-level classes.
I have since gone on to privately tutor in mathematics with success.
I believe developing holistic understanding and confidence in a subject matter is essential to academic success.
As such I like to take time to explore the areas you are having difficulty with, and create a programme of study to help you overcome these difficulties. If you are facing upcoming exams, I also think it is important to spend some time looking at exam technique, which questions to approach and how to utilise your time in an exam fully.
I have my own transport and anticipate teaching students in their own homes, with parents very welcome to sit in on lessons if they wish.
