I consider myself as someone who is efficient, observant and interested in helping others to achieve their aspirations and goals. This has translated in my previous career experience, from teaching abroad, customer service and supervising a team effectively to help them maximise their skills and performance.

I am a creative person who illustrates and sells work as a hobby, and shares a strong interest in arts, history and culture related to European history.

I have travelled to various countries to develop a wider understanding of culture and different environments. This has given me a depth to how others communicate, live and see the world. It has motivated me to pursue other skills such as read poetry, learn Mandarin, and take on more challenges to enhance my own abilities as a person and as someone who can teach with greater perspective.

Tutoring Experience

I am qualified with a Masters and Bachelors and too have a TEFL certification. My teaching experience includes private tutor experience and working for over 8 months in teaching English in China. My interest in education is why I would like to continue to help teach and develop a student’s English ability through effective and exciting lessons.

Tutoring Approach

In my teaching approach, I believe 4 key elements to learning effectively includes listening, speaking, writing and reading. With this I consider the structure of a lesson, from Review, Phonics, New Content, Reading and Writing and then Summary. This is followed up with Homework and also some additional resources catered to suit the student's needs and ability.

An overview would be discussed with the student overtime to keep track on their progress. Praise and areas to improve and practice will always be provided depending on how fast or detailed the student wishes to practice in certain areas of a subject within the English language.
