I am a teacher who is looking to do some tutoring work through the summer months due to a short career break. I am a 31 year old male, father of 2 young boys. Teaching and education is my passion and the thing I have always known I wanted to do. Now being a dad myself, I understand the need of parents to get extra support for their children which is why I am keen to support students through extra tutoring.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for four years at primary key stage, including managing/leading phase groups. Before that, I was also an LSA and completed my training in a SCITT school, essentially training on the job. I have also been a staff governor which has given me a more holistic view of schools and education.

Tutoring Approach

I am open, friendly, encouraging and supportive. Mistakes are there to be made, and are the greatest learning tool we have. I aim to adapt learning to the individual, ensuring the level required is achieved at the pace and needs of the child I am working with.
