I have a strong scientific background gainded from studying to higher education and working as a research scientist for about 20 years. Using the learning/teaching techniques acquired from FET training in the UK, I taught in different colleges for the last ten years.
I value knowledge and skills transfer and promote this through my tuition.
I have the patience and skills to motivate and give the right guidance to my tutees. This has been consolidated with relevant teaching and support experiences of different background students, with different learning capabilities.
I have a solid experience in teaching and assessing these subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Applied Science, Biochemistry, Animal management, Drugs and Food Additives, Biomolecules in Healthcare, Independent research projects.
I worked with tutees to prepare GCSE and A level exams that are regulated by OCR, AQA and Edexcel examination boards.
I have valuable experience in editing and assessing adults' work projects. Moreover, I like discussing with my tutees the prospects of life sciences and advice accordingly.
Native French speaker, I also helped with French exam preparation or worked with casual learners.
I will implement effective tutoring approaches and motivate to increase tutees self-confidence.
My approach to tutoring will be that you work with me:
• to identify your learning needs, so we can agree on a programme of study.
• to guide you towards scientific reasoning that facilitates your understanding of the subject.
• to go through the basics that enables you to answer difficult tasks.
• to use coursework and practice exam papers to boost your confidence and reinforce your knowledge.
My lessons are structured and tailored to each tutee’s learning requirements.
