My name is Sally. I have lived in Australia for many years working in a parenting centre, public libraries and for the police force. I now live in Scotland. I am the mother of five adult children and grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren.
My interests are fiction writing, reading, travel and studying.

Tutoring Experience

I have had a lot of experience tutoring my own children, two who are dyslexic and homeschooling one for a year who could not attend school due to illness.
I have worked with children in after-school art classes for five years.
I have completed Initial teachers training and have completed practicums in both primary and secondary schools.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is time and confidence.
All of us feel the pressure to succeed, to keep up and when the moment comes that we feel we cannot, all confidence is lost as well as the motivation to learn. A child is no different. Sometimes it is just a missing piece in a child's learning that is holding them back, or it may be a different approach to learning is needed.
I am happy to tutor in the local library where I live or in my home.
