Private Online Law Tutor

Hello! I studied law at university, both at undergraduate (University of Leicester, LL.B (Hons.) and post graduate level (University of Warwick, LL.M). I have experience with teaching law to a broad range of students and across different module areas, at undergraduate level. I grew up as an expatriate in the Middle East before moving to England on a more permanent basis and so, have had the privilege of knowing and working with people across all walks of life.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as in-house counsel for a transatlantic bank for 4 years and have previously worked as an associate for a reputed law firm in the Middle East with an affiliation with a silver circle firm. I have worked as a law tutor at the University of Leicester for 4 years, as part of which I was responsible for delivering Company law, Criminal law and Commercial law tutorials to groups of students. During this time, I was also an exams assessor and, therefore, have a solid understanding of the approach required in exams and what the external examiner is looking for in your work. Whilst working as a tutor, I also received a student-nominated award for my teaching! In total, I have nearly 10 years of legal experience.

Tutoring Approach

I developed an effective and simple approach during my time as a tutor; if I do not understand the material, I will not be able to explain it to you, either. I remember when I was a student, the most important element of being taught a subject was being able to break it down into the fundamental concepts and really understand what I was reading or writing. The study of law is not about memorising a plethora of cases and facts and figures- it is about analysis. My role, is to teach you to analyse any question in front of you and, for you to be able to answer it to the best of your ability.
