Private Maths Tutor in Waltham Forest

After completing his A-levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics in 2012, Said graduated from the University of Queen Mary with a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015. Said’s love for teaching stemmed from being in the classroom as an Academic Coach in 2015, where he supported, motivated, and inspired students who were underachieving in their A-level Mathematics. Whilst in education, Said acknowledged the lack of Black African male role models and wanted to change the narrative. He believes that as educators, we play a vital role in inspiring, shaping, and leading future generations.
Whilst receiving outstanding results as an Academic Coach, the school offered Said a teaching opportunity where he completed the School's Direct programme with King's College London. Said then successfully acquired the position of Teacher of Mathematics in 2017, and soon after became Subject Driver for Mathematics in 2018 following his exceptional teaching and leadership abilities. Whilst leading and developing the provision of KS5 in Further Mathematics and Mathematics, in 2019 Said attained the current position of Subject Leader of Mathematics. Said takes pride in the relationships he builds with both students and staff, and through this, he can m motivate his team as well as ensure every child reaches their full potential.
