I Live in Burnley and can only teach in Burnley, Nelson and some parts of East Lancashire or online. Being a teacher, I realise how important the image of the teacher is to students. And every time I enter the classroom I keep in mind three methodological rules: look, sound and speak like a professional. However, I never draw a clear cut line between myself and my students and convince them that they are my partners, not only students.

Tutoring Experience

Teaching Mathematics for over 17 years at both school and College. I have ensured to raise the attainment level of my student at least two National Curriculum levels in one year of teaching. I use my own resources for teaching and have always worked in very successful Mathematics Departments. I have been on a board of Leading Mathematics Teachers in Lancashire. Last year, a number of my students achieve excellent grades in GCSE and A Levels. My ambition is to make pupils understand Maths not just to sit an exam. I have always suggested students a career suited to their strengths and abilities.

Tutoring Approach

I teach and make sure that the learning is for life. I teach the subject (Maths) considering it my job. I am aware of new changes and specifications of the subject. My students can experience my teaching is closely linked to what they do at school, sixth form or college. Students enjoy their learning from my experience. I ensure pupils achieve their potential and parents are often fed back as a routine informing them how their child is progressing.
