I am an experienced secondary school teacher of 23 years and I love being in the classroom. I enjoy the relationships forged with students, parents and colleagues and the aspect of planning and delivering high quality lessons that have allowed my students to achieve the high grades to allow them to succeed in their chosen paths after completing their studies.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught A Level Sociology and Psychology for the AQA exam board for the past 23years. I'm also an AQA examiner and have held positions of responsibility at my place of work which has included Head of Faculty for Health and Social Care and been the lead for both A Level Sociology and Psychology.

Tutoring Approach

I use a range of teaching styles dependent on the students and their learning styles. I teach students to be independent in their learning while teaching and supporting them in meeting the requirements of the exams. As an A Level teacher students must be taught the required content and taught the exam skills via studying and answering exam questions. Application is key to achieving the top grades.
